The general manager should clarify that the “complimentary night” offered is for a future visit. I don’t plan to return after the disruption and lack of transparency on this trip. A reasonable solution would be a refund for one night to account for the construction noise and the broken elevator. Future credit doesn’t make up for the experience I already had. At check-in, we learned that the elevator was completely out of service while the hotel replaced the whole system. No one had told us before booking or arriving. Carrying luggage up the stairs through a construction area was a major hassle, and the work noise made the stay loud and stressful. I was disappointed they hadn’t been upfront about it.

When we’re in London, we always choose the Cheval. They’re fantastic hotels, and we especially like Lexham Gardens when we’re traveling with our small dogs. The staff are great and always do all they can to help.

We keep coming back largely because the staff are so warm and attentive. They always make sure we’re looked after, and the location is great, peaceful enough tucked away but just steps from all the excitement. This is my go-to hotel in London. The apartment rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with everything you need. Highly recommend.

The staff were really friendly, and the location was great. I loved staying at Cheval Maison Lexham Gardens. The apartment was clean, stylish, and spacious, with the comfort of a hotel but the feeling of home. I’d definitely stay again.
