The Lion Gate Apartments

Bushy Park is right outside the apartment, with lots of wildlife and lovely walks. It’s also less than a five-minute walk to the Hampton Court entrance, which suited us perfectly. We came to visit Hampton Court Palace and would definitely stay here again. There’s free residents’ parking, which we really appreciated in London. We had the Studio apartment (Ann Boleyn). It was as small as you’d expect a studio to be, but nicely finished, very clean, and modern. Check-in was contactless. I also tried the nearby Mute Swan and Henry's Cafe. Both were good quality and fairly priced. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

The location is excellent, next to Hampton Court Palace and within walking distance of parks, cafes, and pubs. Kingston Town Centre is just over a mile away. There’s free parking on site, and self check-in and checkout were easy. The timing can be flexible if you call the owners. The apartments are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The mattress was good, but the divan base needs replacing because the sides of the bed sloped down.

We loved the area and would definitely recommend staying here. It’s a short walk to a train station for easy trips into central London, and there are great restaurants nearby. Our favourite wine bar is Vineking. The new Lion Gate Cafe across the street is great for breakfast or lunch, too. We stayed in the Katherine of Aragon room, which was fantastic. It was VERY clean and well equipped.

The place impressed me so much that I’m hoping to come back for a short break with my wife and baby. I stayed for a business trip, with me on the sofa bed and my colleague in the other room. It’s well located for exploring Hampton Court, with free parking outside and a great Italian restaurant nearby. The room was very modern, with a microwave, hob, toaster, kettle, and pots and pans. There’s no oven.
