The hospitality stood out most. The team were warm, polished and attentive without hovering. Anakin was lovely to talk with in my native language, and everyone I met on the ground floor was welcoming and helpful. I felt looked after, not just checked in. The wellness centre was a highlight. I especially liked the sauna and salt room, both beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed. The wellness team were knowledgeable, warm and attentive, and the space felt professional and genuinely restorative. Breakfast was consistently enjoyable, too. I stayed at The Newman for eight nights in February. The location has a rare London balance: a quieter stretch, but still walkable to charming cafés, bars and restaurants. It's well connected for getting around the city without the usual crowds. My Classic Room with a balcony felt calming and thoughtfully designed. The bathroom’s underfloor heating was especially welcome on cold days. The team told me the mattress is made with organic materials, a detail that reflects the hotel's care for comfort and wellbeing. The minibar is carefully chosen and very reasonably priced, which is unusual in London. A thoughtful addition to London's hotel scene. I'd happily return.

The spa was great, with attentive staff and excellent facilities. Everyone went out of their way to make it a good experience. Breakfast and the food at Gambit both lived up to expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Our room at The Newman was one of the best we’ve stayed in London. It was refined and well appointed, with an amazing shower, a comfortable bed and a professional, discreet turndown service. Islam at the door was the best employee experience I’ve had at any hotel. We’ve been lucky to stay in some of the best hotels around the world, but I’ve never met anyone so kind and helpful. Apologies if I’ve misspelled his name. I really can’t speak more highly of him. The Newman is exceptional, with some real star employees and a great experience. It’ll be our new regular London staycation spot. My one bit of feedback: I’d like to see valet service offered in the future.

Service was warm and thoughtful, and breakfast was fantastic. The ricotta pancakes were the best we’ve had in years. We felt lucky to stay at the newly opened The Newman. It’s understated luxury, with lovely attention to detail and wonderfully comfortable rooms. The mattress alone deserves five stars. A truly special stay, and we can’t wait to come back.

The Gambit Bar and restaurant were fantastic, with great food, cocktails and atmosphere. The wellness floor was another highlight, a calm, luxurious place to unwind. My stay at The Newman in London was lovely. The rooms are beautifully designed, the bed was super comfortable, and everything felt thoughtful and high-end without being stuffy. The staff were genuinely warm and helpful, and the location made it easy to get around the city. I’d 100% stay again.

What really set this new luxury hotel in London apart was the genuinely warm, attentive team. We felt looked after and can’t wait to return. The wellness floor is a real highlight, calm and spacious, and worth a visit. It’s a lovely place to start the day or unwind before dinner. Angelica Restaurant and Gambit Bar both have fantastic food, cocktails and atmosphere. The location works well for exploring central London, while the hotel itself still feels tucked away and relaxed. Our stay was superb from start to finish. The rooms are beautifully designed, with generous space, a huge shower and thoughtful touches that feel luxurious without going over the top.
