Breakfast had more options than I'd expected, which was a relief since gluten and dairy intolerance can make it hit or miss. We enjoyed fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, almond milk porridge, an omelette cooked to order, and rosehip and hibiscus tea. For our one night at The Queen's Gate Hotel, the room was just right. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, and appreciated the fluffy towels and robes, good shower, complimentary toiletries, water, tea and coffee, quiet air conditioning and good lighting.

Sam made our visit especially memorable. He was kind, friendly and genuinely helpful, and his warmth and professionalism made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It's rare to meet someone who cares so much about guests and goes above and beyond with such a positive attitude. He's a real asset to the hotel. We had a wonderful stay at Queens Gate Hotel and couldn't be happier with the experience.

The room was small, with a double bed and a cabinet that made it necessary to sidestep twice to reach the other side. I was expecting something luxurious and didn't find it, so I was disappointed, though the area was good. They also took £50 as security. Maybe that's normal around here, but I expected to get it back the next day when I left, as long as I hadn't trashed the room. The 24-hour room service was a plus, and the location worked well for the Albert Hall. Would I return? Probably not. There were lots of people waiting when I arrived at 2.25pm, though check-in was at 2pm. I was told the room needed another 15 minutes for inspection. I had a performance at the Albert Hall at 3.15pm and needed to get ready, so I said I couldn't wait. The receptionist said she was calling someone, and five minutes later I was allowed up. I nearly tripped over the vacuum cleaner. The rooms weren't being inspected, they were still being cleaned.

I stayed one night for a show at Royal Albert Hall, which was less than a five-minute walk away. The room was spacious, with plenty of amenities: a minibar, coffee pod machine, lots of toiletries, and I could connect my phone to Netflix on the TV. Staff were polite, friendly and welcoming, and handled check-in calmly and kindly, including the ID check and pre-authorisation. Check-out was at midday, which was handy to know, and breakfast ran for long enough to suit both early risers and people taking their time. There was a huge choice at the continental and cooked buffet, with cheeses, fruit juices, coffee and cakes, plus table service. I really enjoyed the stay and will return if I'm in the area again. Many thanks.

The location is great, near Kensington gardens and the Tube, so it's easy to get around the city. Staff are extremely helpful and the rooms are okay. I'm 186cm and found the bed a bit short for me. I'd recommend booking, though it's not cheap.
