The Riverside

The venue itself is lovely, and I’ve enjoyed eating here before, but the food platters for my birthday were a letdown. I’d pre-ordered for around 30 people. The nachos cost £42 and the chicken wings £36, which seemed expensive, though I thought the portions might make it worthwhile. What arrived was two portions like the ones shown in the photo, and for that price I expected much better portions and quality, especially for the nachos. I raised it with staff that day but didn’t feel taken seriously. They just told me that was what the offer included.

Timi and Kelly from security, along with the manager, really stood out. They were professional, friendly, and helpful, keeping everyone safe while the atmosphere stayed relaxed and fun. The whole Riverside team made us feel welcome, and the food was delicious and arrived quickly. Service was excellent all night. We had a brilliant time and will be back. Highly recommend.

Rakib is the best of the bunch, always friendly and looking after everyone. Nothing seems like too much trouble for him, and he’s a really cool guy. The whole team is brilliant and super helpful every time we come in. Hold on to him!

A friendly pub with a lovely riverside setting. The fish and chips were very good and not greasy. The beef burger was nice, though I’ve had better in London. Still, it’s a great spot for a drink or a meal. Our server was Anandhu.
