The Rose & Crown Wimbledon

It's easy to get into London from here, about a 10-minute walk to the station, while the place still feels away from the city's bustle. Breakfast on site is a lovely way to start the day, and the Sunday roast was outstanding when we met up with old friends. We stayed at The Rose and Crown in Wimbledon again and had another fantastic time. Faye, Claudio, Roz, the whole breakfast crew and the pub bartenders were all excellent. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful. We recommend The Rose and Crown to friends and family travelling to the UK, and we'll keep coming back ourselves.

The mains came out unevenly at Sunday lunch: only two of the three arrived, with no explanation, even though there were three adults. After waiting at least five minutes, we asked and the waiter said he’d forgotten to order the third meal and would put it through straight away. Another 15 to 20 minutes went by, so we chased again and were told five more minutes. By then the other two had finished eating. When it finally arrived, the meal was decent and hot. The manager offered dessert to the person who’d waited, but they chose two glasses of wine instead. The food was good, but the service was poor. We're local and unlikely to return for dinner.

I often stop by the rose & crown for a pint and always have a lovely evening. Otylia has served me many times, always greeting me with a smile and great conversation. Her service is the best. I wanted to give her a special shout out and say a big thank you :)

The Rose & Crown in Wimbledon felt like a proper local, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a polished, well-run feel. It was clean and comfortable, and the team seemed on top of things. Feya took care of us with friendly, attentive and professional service that never felt intrusive. The food and drinks were good too. It was a relaxed, easy visit, and we'd happily come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a good pub in Wimbledon.
