The tube is just a 10-minute walk away, which makes getting around really easy. When we come to London, we like staying here for the decent car park, good-sized rooms, and comfortable beds.

It was clean enough, but the place could use a refresh inside and out. The room smelled of weed, there was a lot of noise from other guests, and the basic room had an uncomfortable bed. Keep in mind it's a three-star hotel. I wouldn't stay again.

Getting around was easy, with shops and transport close by. I had a relaxing stay: the room was clean and comfortable, and it had everything I needed. The staff were welcoming and happy to answer questions. I'd gladly come back.

I woke in the early hours to find a large rat in my room. I was bitten on the back, and it had chewed some of my belongings while I was out. The staff didn't seem surprised when I told them. Disgusting. The hotel owner or manager offered £250 in compensation, but nothing arrived after 10 days. Then the hotel withdrew the offer. My solicitor is handling the matter. Absolutely disgusting hotel.

The room was comfortable, with nice decor and a large, spotless bathroom finished in white tile. The TV was well placed on the wall, and the doors between the bedroom and bathroom were unusual, in a way I hadn't seen before. I had breakfast on a previous stay and enjoyed it. I was hoping to visit the Churchill rooms while in London. I went once in 1980, when I was 9, and wanted to see whether the exhibits inside had improved.
