I’ve stayed here for work nearby for eight nights over the last month, and the rooms pleasantly surprised me. They were clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the carvery, and the location is great for Bethlem Hospital and transport into central London. My issue is breakfast. There’s no gluten-free bread, and one of the morning waitresses communicated particularly poorly about that and other breakfast choices. When I asked questions, she seemed unwilling to help. I was also told I couldn’t use the gluten-free bread I’d bought myself, and there was no alternative. The way she delivered the messages was the main problem, but I’d like gluten-free bread to be offered as an option for guests.

The staff made us feel welcome, and the room was spotless with a really comfortable bed. The location worked perfectly for us, too. Great value and service, we had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend it.

We had a good first impression of this warm, inviting Toby carvery, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Our room was a decent size, with a clean, comfy bed. The lighting could have been better, and the shower was hot but lacked pressure. Still, it was excellent value and I’d recommend staying here.

We’ve booked this place twice now, because we liked the first visit so much. The room was probably the best we’ve had for accessibility. Breakfast was good, and the breakfast Yorkshire puddings were a revelation. It’s close enough to central London to be handy, while far enough out to avoid feeling overwhelming or being a pain to reach. We’ll stay again.

The location is a real plus, right across from a train station with a direct service to central London, and parking is free. I paid £600 for 6 nights in October 2025, which was quite cheap when I booked. Getting checked in took half an hour. A very busy server eventually took pity on me and found a manager to do it. The room itself was nothing special: the windows were dusty and covered in cobwebs, clearly hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and wouldn’t open all the way. The only view was bins. The room was also very dim. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the walk-in shower was great. The restaurant was quite nice too, though very busy in the evening.
