Travelodge Heathrow Heston M4 Westbound

The staff’s attitude and response time were awful. I’d booked a non-refundable week to secure things, or I would’ve left. If you care about customer service, avoid this place. Cheap doesn’t mean convenient, especially with no real restaurants or activities within 30 minutes. The shower was dirty just 15 minutes after I got to my room, and when I asked the woman manager for a cleaner room, she was very rude. I’d forgotten her name because of how she treated me. The night staff were no better. A young Hispanic man was vaping outside and ignoring the front desk, and got very rude when I asked him about a package, as if I’d interrupted his vape session. At this point they need a whole new team.

The room was a standard Travelodge one, but spotlessly clean, and the shower had great pressure. Staff were friendly, and at £33 for the night it was a real bargain. I stayed before a morning flight from Heathrow, about a 10-minute drive away. There was some noise since it’s at a motorway service station, but it was minimal and didn’t bother me. Free parking was a big plus.

The bathroom was the worst part. Water went everywhere when I showered, and the toilet looked old, dirty, and unpleasant. The furniture was worn and damaged, and the whole room felt extremely dated and poorly maintained. I was shocked that a hotel near a major airport could be in this condition. This was very disappointing, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Both the man on reception when we arrived and the lady there in the morning were super friendly and helpful. They’re a real credit to Travelodge, which feels rare these days. Our room was clean and had plenty of tea and coffee. Staying here made getting to the airport much easier than driving early in the morning, and it was cheap too. I’d definitely come back.
