The staff made check-in easy, answering my questions about transport and the local area with a warm welcome after a long journey. The room was spotless, quiet and comfortable, especially the cozy "Dreamer" bed. It’s a basic hotel, but the cleanliness was top-tier and I had everything I needed for a good night's sleep. Barking station is a short walk away, so getting into Central London takes about 20-30 minutes depending on where you're going. Shops and food options are nearby too. For a budget-friendly stay, I was pleasantly surprised by the service and overall experience. If you need a clean, safe and well-located base in East London without spending too much, this is a solid choice. I’d stay again. Friendly, helpful staff, good transport links and great value. No cons, it does what it says on the tin.

The manager and reception team were genuinely kind and attentive, and the facilities were well-maintained. It had a peaceful atmosphere from the moment I walked in, and the hotel made my four-week trip memorable.

The manager was helpful the night we stayed, when there were tube strikes. They gave us directions and even offered to arrange UBERS. The hotel was clean, with rooms big enough, and the location works well for the o2 if you don’t mind a quick tube journey.

I could still hear street noise with the window closed, which was the biggest issue. But I got what I needed here. At the same price, a certain place in Romford didn’t even give me daylight. If you can afford somewhere better, by all means aim higher. But if fine is all you need, this is fine. Set your expectations for Barking and a travelodge and you’ll be pleased.

There’s a Tesco express right under the Travelodge, and Barking tube station is about a five-minute walk away, so it’s a handy spot. We stayed for a concert at the 02 arena, about a 20-minute tube journey from there. The room was great for the very good price, and it’s just a standard travel lodge. Can’t complain. We’ll look to stay here again when going to the o2.
