Travelodge London Central Waterloo

We ate dinner and breakfast there, and both were good quality and good value. The rooms matched their description, were clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. Brigette, our breakfast coordinator, was so welcoming and friendly. She was especially supportive of the coeliac travelling with us, making sure we had the information needed to choose from the menu. Her care was excellent, and we’re grateful to her.

Our sixth-floor SuperRoom was quiet all night, with plenty of space and an unusual angled corner layout instead of the usual box shape. It had everything we needed: a very comfortable bed, heating and air conditioning, and windows that open. The bathroom was a little cramped, but spotless and tidy, with a wonderfully powerful shower. For a Travelodge, it was a really nice stay. Waterloo Station and the South Bank are both a short walk away.

We chose this hotel over pricier places nearby and were really happy with that choice. Our family room was on the top floor, room 804, with a view of the London Eye as shown in the pictures. The room was very clean, and everyone on staff we met was friendly and straightforward. The two guys at reception were especially welcoming when we arrived. Breakfast was excellent, with lots to choose from, a clean dining room and polite staff. I also really respect that some staff members have disabilities and that the hotel takes this into account when hiring. It’s a 16-minute walk to the London Eye, and there are plenty of food shops nearby. If the price is as good as it was this time, we’ll book again without hesitation. Thanks to Travelodge and the staff for making things easy and welcoming. I hope this review helps, since I also read what other guests had to say before booking.

The location is decent and the place does the job. The air conditioner actually works, which I find rare in hotels. Breakfast was decent enough; I skipped dinner. There’s a 24-hour bar and you can order pizza around the clock too. It was clean enough, though I’m not sure the sink had been cleaned after the previous guest. I usually stay at Premier or Holiday Inn, but the in-room coffee is better here, and you get Kit Kats too. Can’t say that for the other two.
