The room was clean and up to a good standard, and the staff were very good and welcoming even though it was busy. I booked this as one of three Travelodge stays during my time in London. My only complaint is the almost nonexistent shower. I've had better showers standing in the rain!

The parking was a mess. There are more than 300 rooms but fewer than 30 spaces, and although I'd paid for two nights, the hotel car park was full. I also saw cars parked in disabled bays without Blue Badges. Reception told me to use another car park, about a 15-minute walk away, costing around £48 a night. While I was sitting in the car trying to find somewhere else to park, I got a parking charge, even though I'd already paid and was only there because the hotel car park was full. I later tried to complain to Travelodge, but finding proper contact details was difficult and I still haven't had a reply. Reception wasn't helpful at the time, either. One receptionist mumbled so quietly I couldn't understand her. She honestly needs a microphone. The room had maintenance problems too. The shower pressure was so weak it felt like washing under a leaking watering can. There was no hairdryer, so I had to go downstairs with wet hair to ask for one. The first one they brought was filthy, so I refused it and had to wait for another. The door lock was worrying, with just one screw holding it in place and the other two fallen out, seemingly pushed back into their holes. A disappointing stay from beginning to end. Poor room maintenance, awful parking arrangements and very poor service. I wouldn't stay here again.

I've stayed here four times for business. The building itself is good, but they've managed to ruin it. The only good part was the view from my room. There was constant noise, and the cleanliness was appalling. The body wash and hand soap were empty. I'm shocked by how poor the breakfast was. The eggs tasted awful and the orange juice was watery. Avoid this place, if you can even call it a hotel.

The location and price were good, and there was air conditioning. I'll likely stay again because the price was excellent, despite the problems. Service was so-so. The front desk was good, although they "upgraded" me to a family room when I was travelling alone for business. The bar was awful: it smelled odd, and the pizza was terrible at £13.65. The air conditioning was making clearly abnormal noises too.

We had a great view from room 1119, and the spacious room had two single beds plus a big double. The staff were the most helpful I've ever experienced at a Travelodge. They happily printed directions and did all they could when we asked how to get where we were going. Breakfast was very nice with lots to choose from, including cooked food, yoghurt, cereals and croissants. We stayed for the weekend of the London landmarks half marathon. The location and price were perfect for us. Canning Town tube station was a pleasant walk, about 10-15 minutes away, and the journey into London took around 25-30 minutes. For three of us, one night with breakfast cost £126. It was the weekend of the Tyson Fury fight at Tottenham, the London Landmarks half marathon and other events, and nearby Travelodges that were only slightly closer had extortionate prices. Parking is limited, but the hotel website makes that clear.
