Travelodge London Greenwich

The staff were lovely and the hotel was nice, like other Travelodges. We were there for two nights for a concert at the o2 arena, about a 45-minute walk for me and my partner. The noise made sleep impossible, with police sirens, car horns and loud motorcycles going all day and night. I know that isn’t the hotel’s fault. It was also extremely hot inside, I think they keep the heating on most of the time, so we had to leave the windows open and the outside noise got even worse. Next time I’d probably pick a Travelodge in a better area.

It was an okay place to stop while travelling, though we didn’t try breakfast or anything extra. Our bed squeaked a lot and kept us awake some of the time. There weren’t any power sockets by the bed, only USB ports, which was annoying.

A basic Travelodge, but it had what we needed for a weekend spent coming and going. The room was a standard size, with radiators instead of air con and, in our room at least, a shower but no bath. The room was clean and the staff were lovely.

There’s a lovely little coffee shop down the road that’s well worth a visit. The travel lodge was tidy and nicely presented, close to shops and the DLR. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful when we needed them. Our room and bathroom were clean too.
