The windows didn’t block the noise at all, and there was quite a bit from around the hotel, especially on weekends. If you’re a light sleeper, bring good earplugs. I still enjoyed my stay and would recommend it for a casual couple of nights in the area. I’m giving it four stars because the bathroom clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly in a while. There was a soil stain on one of the towels, though it came off when I brushed it with my hand.

The rest of the team were friendly and welcoming, polite and professional, but Srinivasa and Gabs really stood out. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel so welcome, almost like I was at home rather than in a hotel. They were kind, caring, and genuinely helpful, with a warm, positive attitude. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and their hospitality went beyond what I expected. That made my stay special and memorable. Thank you both for such amazing service. You’re a real credit to the hotel, and I’d happily stay here again because of you.

Nadine made check-in lovely and helped sort out an issue with my room. One night some guests were really loud, but staff dealt with it within about 15 minutes. The hotel’s only around 50 steps from a club, so weekends can be noisy. Still, they did very little wrong and I’d likely stay again for the friendly staff.

For under £50 a night, this was absolutely fine for sleeping, grabbing a coffee in the morning, or having a nap in the afternoon. We stayed from December 30 to January 3, after a much worse first night at the Trevellodge Central across the road. We were relieved we could move here, and the staff got a room ready quickly. The lifts worked, the room was clean, and the staff were friendly. You can’t expect a luxury spa hotel for that price, but we were happy with it.

Good location and the room was fine, as expected for a budget hotel. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and parking at the NCP car park cost £15 for 24 hours. The alley by the entrance was blighted by fly-tipping, and seeing a homeless person asleep in reception the next morning was a surprise.
