Travelodge London Teddington

The mash was the only letdown, it had a weird, tapioca-like consistency. Staff were lovely and efficient, though, and it's a really handy base: the bus goes near Twickenham Rugby stadium, and the train to London is just a two-minute walk away. I'd definitely come back if I need to be in London.

Breakfast was only greasy, fatty food, which the receptionist called a typical English breakfast. There was no cheese, meat, bread, or vegetables. Parking was another problem: it's only for tiny, small cars, so a modern SUV won't fit up the ramp, and there are at most four spaces. We stayed 8 nights and paid for parking in three blocks, 3 days, 3 days, and 2 days, but still got a ticket to pay. Keep your receipts after paying at horizon parking. I wouldn't stay here even for one night.

We were in the area for one night, and the hotel was just what you'd expect from a Travelodge. The room was clean and spacious, with a decent shower. There's a reception and restaurant on site, and the hotel sits in the middle of Teddington, near the train station and about a 10-minute walk from Bushy Park.

It's a good option for a London visit, with nice bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel offers good value, is clean, and has friendly staff. There's a reasonable amount of parking at a good price, and the train station is only a couple of minutes' walk away, with direct trains to Waterloo.
