Travelodge London Vauxhall

The location is brilliant for getting around, with Vauxhall tube and train stations a two-minute walk away and buses right outside. It gives you easy access to London without staying in the centre. Our room was fairly spacious and, despite being on the main road, we couldn't hear the traffic. There was the occasional siren, but little else. Breakfast was okay, but the service was pretty shocking: tables weren't cleared or cleaned properly, plates and cutlery were missing, and food wasn't replenished quickly enough, leaving people waiting.

After we'd checked out, my partner and I wanted to spend the day sightseeing, so we asked Francis at the front desk if he could hold our bags. He said of course, even though we weren't staying another night, and that really took a weight off our shoulders. The staff were very accommodating throughout the stay, checking that everything was okay and asking if anything could be improved. Really helpful!

We all had a fantastic night's sleep. The room was clean and extremely quiet, and I got the higher floor I'd requested. The staff at check-in were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is really close to the train station.

The basement room had no signal at all, and my friend and I had to push to get WiFi access because they wanted us to pay. That should be provided automatically to guests staying in the basement. Even so, the front desk guy was amazing, with a welcoming attitude and great service. Thanks Wayne! The location was excellent.
