They invent damage and make up inflated prices for the interior to hold back your deposit. The deposit and deductions are a huge scam. I wouldn’t recommend living there to anyone!

At 9:58am, the host was already waiting outside the door while we were still packing and hadn’t checked out. When we opened up, he didn’t even say hello, just glared at us. There was no apology for rushing us, and his manner felt cold, rude and aggressive. It left us feeling disrespected. They also kept £20 from our £500 deposit without warning or explanation. When we asked, they shrugged and said it was for noise, although the deposit agreement said it covered possible damage. That felt misleading and like an unfair extra charge. My stay at Tywne House in London was unpleasant from the start, with rude, unprofessional treatment. I’d strongly advise against booking if you expect basic courtesy and transparency. The apartment at Twyne Apartments was decent in size, clean and well located. But the management’s dismissive, rude attitude and slow replies to every question or issue made the experience frustrating. The £500 deposit seemed excessive for what was offered, though I might have overlooked that given the apartment’s condition. For the price, I expected basic respect and professionalism. The place itself may be fine, but based on the poor service alone, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The location was great, close to Leicester Square station and walkable to several tourist sights. But Charing Cross Road is really noisy, with police and ambulance sirens, so this isn’t a quiet apartment. The place needs some care. Several cupboard and wardrobe doors or handles were broken and hadn’t been replaced, the ensuite door wouldn’t close, the living room floor was filthy, and the fold-out sofa hadn’t been vacuumed underneath for a while. We found dust and mouse droppings while looking for a mouse that was in the apartment. The ensuite toilet leaked, and the leak wasn’t fixed during our stay. The entry chain lock had been fitted upside down, so it added no security, and the fan in the main bedroom was missing its front guard, which could be unsafe with young children. I told the letting agent, and they sent someone that day to seal the mouse’s entry hole. I was very disappointed overall.
