Urban Chic - Rathbone

The flat itself was lovely, in a perfect location, and looked like the photos. But I wouldn’t book with this company again. We rented a two-bedroom Camden apartment for a week, and it was on the top floor, four flights up, without that being mentioned. The flat was cold even with the radiators on because nearly every window let in a draft. Our key collection code was also given to the cleaning staff, which caused confusion while we were managing all our luggage. Three people we didn’t know let themselves in without warning. Host replies got slower too, from within an hour before check-in to the day after we’d checked in.

The main office staff were lovely, and I can’t fault them. But our stay was awful: they cancelled on the day we were due to arrive, with no warning. I could hardly recommend the place less.

They cancelled our family’s reservation for London Marathon weekend 2021 while we were on our way to the city, just a couple of days before the race. I was running the Marathon for Children's Hospital Charity, but that didn’t seem to matter. When we asked why, we got no clear answer, only more bad service and a passive tone. Then we discovered the rooms had been listed online again at a higher price. It looked to us like they’d cancelled so they could make more money. They left us in a really distressing situation. Disgusting. Stay away from this company!

A cosy, nicely furnished apartment in a great location. It had all the kitchen appliances we needed, plus a washing machine and dishwasher.
