The staff were so warm and helpful, and the hotel is in a great spot near Paddington and two tube stations. The common areas and rooms were clean, and the neighborhood was lovely and quiet at night. It’s a cute place, and for central London I thought the price was fair. I’d come back, though next time I might pay for a larger room. A few things could make the stay easier. We had the smallest room type, which was understandable, but storage was scarce. With two large suitcases there wasn’t really anywhere to put them, and the closet had only a few hangers. The safe also caused a bit of a scare: our passports got locked inside, and staff spent about half an hour getting it open. I heard another guest asking about the safe too, so it seemed we weren’t the only ones having trouble. We carried our passports around for the rest of the week rather than risk locking them in again. The pillows were my biggest complaint. They were hard and lumpy, and both my travel partner and I struggled to sleep all week. The rooms are small, as in many European hotels, but this was the smallest category, so that part made sense. There were no facecloths in the room, and the front desk couldn’t provide any. Tissues would’ve been useful too. The toilet paper was nice, but I don’t like using thick paper to blow my nose. There was shampoo and body wash combined in the shower but no conditioner, so bring your own if your hair needs it. Even with those issues, the location was perfect and the staff were lovely. A little more storage, better pillows, and a few basic items would improve the guest experience.

The building has a charming old London house feel, with antique furniture, and I got a warm welcome at the front desk. I stayed one weekend night in a single room for the Arsenal matches. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom looked newly renovated. I also found the pantry area really useful. It felt safe for a woman travelling alone, and Bayswater tube station and Notting Hill are within walking distance. Just be aware there’s no lift, so luggage has to go up the stairs. I had a very pleasant stay and would gladly return.

I felt cozy and well looked after during my second stay here. The room was thoughtfully laid out and had everything I needed: a bed, stove, fridge, closet, safe, bathroom, and shower. The hotel is lovely inside and out, with charming decor that made me want to look around. Staff were kind and helpful, always greeting me when I came and went, and they helped carry my luggage up or down the stairs. There’s no lift to the upper rooms, which is the one small drawback. The area is very good, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and that was something I liked on my first visit too. Thanks for the great service. I’m leaving London happy with my stay and hope to come back again.

The location is excellent, with Queensway and Bayswater less than a ten minute walk away and lots of coffee shops and places to eat along the main road. We had a very happy weekend here. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the spacious room had plenty of seating. It rained too much for us to use the balcony seats, unfortunately. The bed was incredible, with a comfy mattress and crisp, clean bedding. The room was clean too, though the floor could’ve used a better sweep. The shower room is snug but manageable, and the shower itself was decent. They provide shower gel, shampoo, and body lotion. I can’t remember the brand, but it was lovely, Norwegian I think. A couple of things to know: there’s no lift, so you’ll need to carry bags upstairs, though we were only on the first floor and it wasn’t a big problem. Also, it’s an old building with poor sound insulation between rooms. We were woken several times by doors slamming, and could hear muffled conversations, which isn’t great when people stay up late. That’s just how the building is, and staff can’t do much about it. I’d definitely stay again.

I stayed one night before my flight and got a lovely room at a great rate. It was small, but the clever layout kept it from feeling cramped, and I loved the large window that opened all the way. I was on the top floor, so there were a few flights of stairs, and staff didn’t offer to bring my luggage up, which was a bit disappointing. There are a couple of subway stations nearby. One other thing, you have to leave your room key at the front desk when you go out and collect it again later. That can slow you down if another guest is checking in ahead of you, though I’m sure they have their reasons.
