A basic, clean room with an ensuite, plenty of hangers and towels, and easy-to-use air con. The staff were friendly, there’s a lift to every floor, and they recommended two nearby cafes for breakfast. Tea and coffee facilities were there too.

Sade must’ve been singing about this place. The room looked like a badly cleaned crime scene: a possible blood drop on the wall, a patched spot, and red stains on the tables and bed. There was something on the headboard too. I couldn’t change rooms because they were sold out, and I didn’t have time to wait, so I dropped my things and rushed out. When I got back, the shower head was so dirty it needed cleaning itself. I couldn’t check in early because they were cleaning, which left me wondering what they meant by cleaning. The sheets were crisp white apart from one small red stain. I was too tired to complain, which also kept me from wondering if I might be the next victim. I left it to fate. Checkout was easy and the staff were genuinely nice, but it wasn’t worth the price.

I stayed at the Victoria Inn London (Belgrave Road) in November 2025, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. For over €250 for two nights, I expected basic cleanliness, comfort, and care, but this place didn’t deliver. I’d strongly advise against staying here. The room was tiny, smelled strongly of sewage, and had visible stains on the walls and furniture. There was hair on the towels. Nobody cleaned during our stay or made the bed, and we had to ask several times for fresh towels. The soundproofing was terrible too, with every noise from other rooms and the corridors carrying through, even late at night. The key card stopped working twice, sending us back to reception each time to have it unlocked. There was no TV or heating remote, and despite us reporting it several times, no maintenance staff came. A receptionist even checked and admitted nothing had been done. Horrible conditions, poor management, and no respect for guests.

The location is a big plus, with Victoria Station just 10 minutes away and the neighbourhood is lovely. My room was comfortable, and the reception staff were friendly. For a budget stay in London, Victoria Inn is a great choice. Thanks!
