Vintry & Mercer

We slept like logs, and the room had everything we needed, even though it was small. The complimentary minibar and toiletries were a nice touch. The rooftop terrace was enjoyable, with good drinks and attentive staff, though it was a bit cold. We also had fun at the cocktail bar. Vintry & Mercer is well placed near the Thames and the tube, and the staff were excellent. Breakfast was a nice way to start the day.

The staff were excellent, and Hamid and Rawul helped make our stay feel special. For my birthday, the bar team treated me so well, and the rooftop restaurant has amazing views. Hamid at the concierge desk was especially lovely and went out of his way to help us. The hotel is very close to the station. That said, we didn’t feel it lived up to a five-star rating. The rooms are very small, and our window looked onto a brick wall. The robes were rough and hard. It took four attempts to get the decaf tea we’d asked for, and other room service was extremely slow. Without those two staff members, I probably would have been very disappointed.

The staff made our birthday celebration feel really special, and they were helpful from the minute we arrived until we left. It’s not often we get to do something like this as a couple, so I was grateful for how they spoiled me. We enjoyed the drinks and the upstairs bar views, and our spacious room had lovely decor. The location was brilliant. We stayed at the ned last year, and this was miles better. Thanks so much. I’d definitely return and recommend it to friends and family.

We had five rooms and suites, all very clean, beautifully furnished, and well equipped. The staff were courteous, friendly, and always ready to help, so we felt completely at ease. At night, we loved watching the light show of The Shard from bed. It’s a stylish boutique hotel with a lovely, cozy charm.
