It’s easy to find on a main road with a 20mph limit, and I was able to park in front in one of the five spaces. The place was nice and clean, the people friendly, and breakfast was reasonable. I’d come back if I needed a place to stay in Surbiton.

This lodge is run by private hosts. It’s basically a house that’s been converted into a money-making business. My room was in the attic, up steep stairs too narrow to fit your feet comfortably. They’re unsafe for older people or anyone carrying heavy luggage, and there’s no lift. The room was drab and cold. The heating was set to come on at a particular time, regardless of how cold the room was to begin with. Hot drinks were available, but I didn’t think the price was justified. Disfrutar.

Frances gave us a lovely welcome at the Warwick Lodge Hotel in Surbiton. The place was clean and tidy, and the beds were comfortable. Just what we were looking for.
