The one good thing was being close to shops and a local pub, so it was easy to grab food or go out for a bite. Otherwise, I’d rather sleep in my work van. The room stank of cooked fish when I first walked in, so I had to air it out with all the windows and doors open. There were random clicking noises and a hum that people in nearby rooms could hear, and it kept me awake all night. The walls are paper thin. I could hear the people next door, others on the stairs talking, and microwaves being used at silly hours in the evening. When I asked people at breakfast, it sounded like I wasn’t the only one dealing with these problems. If you like getting no sleep, this is the place for you.

The rooms are clean, and having laundry facilities on site is handy for a longer stay. My experience with the manager was much less positive. Mohammed spoke to me very unprofessionally, and when guest issues came up, he wasn’t able to resolve them without shouting or getting flustered. The hotel needs to assess that.

The cleaners called my disabled mum names and pulled animal faces at her. When we answered back, they threatened to kick us out for standing up for ourselves. I’ve been here for a while because of the council’s negligence, and it feels like they let staff abuse us. They also accused me of throwing away their sheets, even after I told them who had done it. They should’ve looked at the cameras. I think they forget their black as well. I’m pregnant and have been lied about. They said I shouted at one of the staff men, which wasn’t true. People who were with me told management that, but he doesn’t care. They don’t want to hear our side, and it’s ridiculous and disgusting. They came into the house while we were out and took pictures of our things to use against us. That’s not right. If you think your stuff is safe, it isn’t. I’m scared here, and this is my last week because they spoke to the council to get us kicked out. They’re kicking out a disabled lady and a pregnant woman after we’ve been here for two years, dealing with their racism. They left me and my mum without hot water for nearly a week. My mum nearly ended up in hospital because of her condition, and cold affects her. I have asthma, and it wasn’t good for me either, especially while pregnant. All they said was, “Go tell the council.” They know the council can’t do anything. These people aren’t nice. They’re just here to take your money and abuse you however they can. DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!

On my most recent stays, the staff have given me great service. I’ve stayed here a few times, most recently in the Caroco apartment, and the room was really clean and comfortable. The only issue was other guests being loud in the outside space.
