The football was on the TVs, but it didn’t get in the way of the atmosphere. We had a wonderful couple of hours at the Sunday Carvery. The food quality really impressed us, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

We enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned the next night. We’d stumbled across The Village Inn online, and both meals were lovely for our group of two adults and three children. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the steak pie, fish and chips, gammon steak and Aberdeen Angus burger to the kids burger. The same lady served us both times and was so welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend :)

The sausage and mash and pie and mash were both really tasty. We had two lovely meals here tonight, 12/6/26. There was a bit of a wait, but that’s no worry, it’s not McDonalds. The staff were very busy but pleasant to deal with, and it had a good atmosphere and good value.

On a cold winter day, the steak pie was just right, rich, tasty, and served perfectly warm. The man with glasses, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, went out of his way to make me feel welcome. The service was friendly, attentive and thoughtful, and the atmosphere was great. Lovely visit, delicious food and outstanding service. Highly recommend.

The food was gorgeous, freshly cooked and served quickly. It’s a lovely little place with a traditional, welcoming feel. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re visiting the area.
