Hannafore Point

I haven't stayed at the hotel, so this is just about the bar and bistro. If you're in East Looe, it's worth the 20-odd-minute walk when the afternoon sun reaches the terrace. You get a great view of the island and a direct, uninterrupted look out over the water from up there, even though there's a road and parking between you and your pint. Looe is surrounded by water, but you don't find many pubs with a view like this. The hotel is nice, though some parts look dated. Service is very good and the staff are ever so helpful. The bistro food is pretty good too.

The view is ridiculously fabulous when the sun is shining, and the atmosphere was lovely with the Jazz players. We enjoyed a nice three-night B&B stay. Breakfast was really good, and the Sunday carvery was pretty good too. Like other old places, the hotel needs plenty of TLC throughout, including the pool area. I found the pool pretty cool, to be honest. Our front-facing balcony room looked really modern? and the bed was super comfy, so I slept like a log.

I booked a spa day and had a lovely treatment with Laura. She really knew her stuff and gave me the best massage and facial!

There's a lovely little cafe along the shoreline, and the area is great for exploring rock pools away from the main part of Looe. The sea view is lovely, with great views of the river and town too. The road is narrow in places, and it can get busy because parking is free along the long road.
