Sam, Chris and their family made us feel so welcome, and we had a wonderful time at Penryn House from start to finish. We couldn’t fault the hotel. It was a much-needed break for both myself and Alan, and we can’t thank you enough. We hope to come back many times.

We spent each evening by the log burner, looking at the artwork and enjoying the local history of Penryn house. There are plenty of books and board games, plus a well-stocked bar, and Sam and Chris kept serving us until we decided it was time for bed. Chris and Sam are a brilliant team, friendly and welcoming as soon as you arrive. We stayed three nights and already can’t wait to return. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the rescue box has those little things you might forget, even sun cream. Our family room had a beautiful view that I’ll miss waking up to. Breakfast was delicious, with pastries and a wide choice of hot dishes. The breakfast stack is a must, and the food is locally sourced. Couldn’t recommend this beautiful place enough. Thanks for having us, we’ll be back soon.

Chris and Sam, the proprietors, made us very welcome and were hands-on and helpful with everything. We stayed here as a base for a couple of South Wedt Cosst Path stages. I hope to return with my husband to explore the area more.

The hosts were friendly, and my room was quiet and clean. I could leave my bicycle somewhere secure overnight, which was handy. Breakfast was excellent, and the B&B lived up to what its website said.

We had a lovely stay. The owners and staff were so friendly, and there was a cosy spot to sit together. Our room was fabulous, with a comfortable bed, and breakfast had a delicious menu with plenty to choose from. The dining room was bright and airy too.
