I haven’t stayed in the rooms, so can’t comment on them. A group of us had a great time at the quiz night on 25th October, raising money for Looe fireworks. The food was absolutely delicious, as always, and nicely presented. Compliments to the kitchen team and the friendly, efficient waiting staff. Henry was a great quiz master. Hopefully they’ll put on more nights like this.

Housekeeping in our room was very good, and the food and service were excellent. But we wouldn’t choose this hotel again after our four-night New Year stay, which began Monday 29th December. We expected entertainment in a separate room, but it was held in the restaurant, where there was little space to dance. Our room was noisy and hot the whole time. We were told the kitchen extractors caused the noise and nothing could be done because the hotel was full. The water pressure was hit and miss. Other guests had similar room complaints. Some had a missing shower head or missing radiator caps that meant they couldn’t regulate the heating. Those issues were dealt with and sorted out. In our opinion, the hotel wasn’t suitable for the number of people staying there.

We popped in to try the food after talking to head chef Chris during the Saints & Smugglers 100 miler race. It was delicious and really good quality, and the local moule was cooked amazingly. I’d recommend it 100%. The hotel’s on our list for next time too, as we’d like to stay there.

The room was clean and comfy, and the food was excellent. The staff were fantastic, especially Lyndsey and Tristan. He makes fabulous cocktails: the best Aperol spritz and Passionfruit martini ever! Thanks so much for a wonderful one-night stay.

The harbour-view room was spacious and clean, and we’d stay again if we were in the area. It’s a lovely place to stay in Looe, with great staff and service, good food in the restaurant, and a handy location for exploring all that Looe has to offer.
