Keepers Lodge

We found it good value and would come back when my mobility is better. The breakfast was delicious, and the shared dining area is laid out beautifully. Steve & Claudio were friendly and worked well together, with only two rooms allowing for a personal touch. The village is lovely and peaceful, about 25 minutes from Donnington. Parking is in an off-road lay-by opposite the house, though it isn't private. My only quibble was the staircase: it has two turns and is quite long. I have limited mobility, and I had been told it was short, so there may have been a misunderstanding.

I spent the night before my wedding at Keepers Lodge and got ready there for the ceremony. It was peaceful and restful, and the place was immaculate. The owners were welcoming and accommodating. I've stayed in plenty of hotels, and this was much better than most of them, let alone a B&B.

The bed was really comfortable, and the bathroom looked brand new. Everything was exceptionally decorated and so clean and tidy. We also had one of the best breakfasts we've ever had.

We only had one night and wished we'd booked longer. Our room was lovely, the host was amazing, and breakfast was fantastic. There's a lively local pub in the village too.
