I was trying to find somewhere for 13 of us to meet after Christmas, with dogs, children, and wheelchair access. This place worked perfectly. I called to explain what we needed, and they quickly offered the function room beside the main pub, which suited us very well. We were looked after brilliantly, especially considering our group included children and dogs, and the food was lovely. The only snag was the cheesecake of the day: the waitress said it was Belgian Chocolate, but when we ordered and tried it, it seemed to be strawberry and vanilla, possibly with glace cherries. It was very nice anyway, just not what we’d been told. We’d definitely come back for a family get-together.

After a long day at Donnington, the room was just what we needed for our overnight stay. Dinner was top notch, and breakfast was amazing and plentiful. The staff are so friendly and helpful, a real credit to the pub. We even came back for a quick drink at the end of the weekend. Fully recommend it, and we’ll definitely return.

Our Sunday lunch this week was faultless: tender meat, fresh vegetables, tasty food, and generous portions. The staff were welcoming, lovely, and professional, and the place felt relaxed and warm. What a brilliant pub. The manager or owner clearly has things running well. There aren’t many places like this nowadays, and they deserve to do really well.

We both had the beef when my wife and I came for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago. It was nicely cooked and presented, with tasty gravy and lovely vegetables. The Cauliflower Cheese stood out, too. Portions were generous enough that we couldn’t manage pudding. Service was friendly and attentive, and the meal was good value. We’ll stop for lunch again when we’re travelling this way.

A real treat. My room was very nice, and the restaurant meal was excellent. Breakfast was amazing too, full of flavour thanks to the high quality ingredients.
