Watching the sunrise from bed with my wife, a cup of tea in hand and just the waves for company, was a highlight. Our family sea view room, no.11, had one of the best and closest sea views we've had, and the layout was spacious enough for our travel cot and our 8yr old to have plenty of room in one of the two single beds. It was very clean throughout, and the bathroom was good quality. We also enjoyed the old-fashioned kids disco and games at the family fun night. I think it runs every Tuesday during the summer holidays. We booked a table after hearing about it at check-in, then got back around 7.30. The staff made all of us feel at home and were amazing. It's a hidden gem of a hotel, within 20 minutes of several places and attractions. We'd go back in a heartbeat, and plan to later this year.

The seafront location is great, and the stay turned out much better than I expected. I arrived late and had some trouble finding reception, but a helpful member of staff at the bar got me sorted. The walk-in price was higher than the online rate, so I booked on my phone instead. My room had a comfortable bed and all the usual facilities, and I couldn't hear the bar or restaurant below. The restaurant food was good and portions were generous, though there weren't many vegetarian or vegan choices.

The room had a surprisingly comfortable bed and a lovely ocean view, Room 11. The rest was hard to overlook: furniture and the information book had stains, the shower seal was mouldy, and there was a strange latex-like smell. The electric heater kept chirping. Music from the bar directly below played until about 10:30pm, then started again at 08:30am. I know it's a resort and that can happen, but I hadn't expected it midweek in December. Finding check-in wasn't easy. It turned out to be at the restaurant bar, where a group of day-drinking men stared me down. I've also asked three times for an invoice or receipt for my work expenses and still haven't received one.

The room was spotless, the food was great, and the staff were friendly. Lovely hotel and a fantastic view. I'll definitely come back.
