My company usually puts me up in those purple-themed hotel chains around the country, but they were all full when I was working in Lowestoft this week, so I stayed here for a night instead. On check-in, the host was really friendly and helpful. My clean, comfortable room had a sea view, and breakfast was really nice. I was in the army, so I enjoyed seeing the armed forces memorabilia and uniforms. There's a snooker table, two nice living rooms where people can sit outside their rooms, and a dining and function room with a bar. They also support the local veterans community by hosting monthly breakfasts. I’ve passed my feedback to my company and said I’d like to stay here next time I’m working in the area. Great staff and a great place. I definitely recommend it. Thanks, and I look forward to coming back.

What made this B&B feel special was being able to use the living areas. It felt properly homely, unlike other B&Bs we've stayed at. Each room had its own theme, so we were encouraged to look around at all the memorabilia and read about the history. We especially liked the three-quarter snooker table, the CD player in the lounge and the honesty bar. The service was brilliant, with a good breakfast and plenty of options. Our sea-view room was very comfy. The shower pressure was the one small letdown, but we absolutely loved our stay and would come back.

There’s free parking, and it’s right by the seafront. There are plenty of nearby places to eat and drink, many of which offer guests a discount. Rooms are warm, well furnished and comfortable, and breakfast is freshly cooked and piping hot. We got a very warm welcome and friendly service. It's a fantastic place to stay, especially if you’re interested in armed forces history. The building's original purpose means it has an incredible amount of fascinating military memorabilia on display.

The bed was the only issue. The mattress had clearly given up. Apart from that, it was a delightful stay, with a fantastic location, wonderful staff, and amazing decorations and memorabilia we could have spent hours looking at. We’ll most likely be back.

We enjoyed staying here, looking out over the sea. Breakfast was freshly cooked and good quality, and continental breakfast was available too. Tea and coffee were provided. We'd definitely stay again and recommend the place.
