It was so quiet and peaceful, just the relaxing break we needed, and we loved unwinding in the hot tub in the evening with that idyllic view. The garden’s been left to grow like a meadow, with a few paths through it, which brings in wildlife. Stuart and Amanda couldn’t do enough for us. The Shepherds hut had everything we could have hoped for, including plenty of room for cases, shoes and clothes. Towels were supplied for the modern, spacious shower room and the hot tub. They’d also provided binoculars, a torch, blanket, hair dryer and umbrella. There were books about the local area and wildlife, plus a TV with DVD player and a good choice of DVDs for bad weather. Plenty of plug and USB sockets too. Breakfast was a great start to the day. The warm pastries and toast, Greek yoghurt with fruit, and cafetiere coffee were especially good. It was the best three-night retreat we’ve had in a long time. We’d highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our second stay as much as the first, and would be happy to book again. The Shepherds Hut is beautifully presented, has everything we needed and sits in a lovely setting. After a day of sightseeing and birdwatching, the hot tub was a real pleasure. Thanks, Stuart, for firing it up for us. Your suggestions for places to eat were ideal, and the location worked really well for the places we wanted to visit.

We stayed five days over Christmas to be near family in Beccles, and the location worked brilliantly. The house was spotless, warm when we arrived, and very well equipped. We had a really relaxing stay and would certainly consider coming back.

We loved having space to spend time together and still enough room for everyone to be comfortable on their own. Stuart and Amanda were warm, easy to communicate with and great hosts. The house and grounds are gorgeous, and we spent a lot of lazy time with wine in the sunny garden. We also went for local walks, visited the beach, played multi-golf just up the road and enjoyed the pub at the end of the lane. It was a peaceful, wonderful holiday with family and friends. We hope to come back.

Breakfast was lovely, served in a bright, airy dining room overlooking the garden. Our Somerley Suite room was spacious, elegant and clean, and Stuart and Amanda looked after us so well. We had a really enjoyable two-night stay and would definitely return.
