Travelodge Lowestoft

We only needed somewhere to sleep, so the hotel room was cheap and cheerful, though much smaller than I expected. It's much like other Travelodge's, just okay. Check-out at midday seemed reasonable, although we didn't use the extra time. There was no hairdryer, which I hadn't packed because I thought one would be provided. Also, don't pay extra for breakfast. There's no restaurant, just a mediocre little “breakfast box” that felt like a waste of £6 per person. At a Premier Inn, I'd get a cooked breakfast for that.

It's a bit dated, and the bathroom was dirty, but the price and room were perfect for a one-night stay. A family let their kids run up and down the corridor for a while, though they eventually tired themselves out. I've stayed here before, and it's good value, with attractions across the area close by.

The staff were very helpful and went above and beyond. The rooms were small but comfortable. It was a bit too far out for us without a car.

Basic, small room, but the price reflects that. Fine if you just need somewhere to get your head down for the night. There's a Harvester across the road and a Beefeater very close by, plus a big Tesco, McDonald's and a petrol station. Pleasurewood Hills is within two minutes.
