The grounds at Waveney River centre were really picturesque, and the pool facilities were very clean. We came just to use the swimming pool and were impressed by the friendly, helpful service from Hayley at pool reception. A woman at the hotel reception, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, was heading home but still took the time to tell us about the area and was very friendly too. The lodges looked lovely as well, so we may stay in future.

It was lovely taking the dog for a walk around the grounds, and the staff were kind and friendly all through our stay. The site was peaceful, even during half term. We found a little park for the children, a pool that needs booking ahead, plus a pub and small shop with the essentials. We also learned the hot tub gets checked and maintained daily, which was reassuring. After nearly five hours on the road, it was a relief to arrive at a lodge that was warm, clean and tidy. I stayed with a friend and our two children, aged 9 and 2. If I’m back in Norfolk, I’d stay here again, and maybe have a go at sailing next time.

The pool was quiet and calm, which was lovely for my two year old granddaughter. It’s small and intimate, and very reasonably priced.

We had great weather for a lovely weekend away with our camper. There was lots to like, including the swimming pool and bar, and the river was nearby. Nights were quiet.

The bar and restaurant shut at 5pm on a bank holiday Sunday. That’s not much of a holiday park. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.
