We booked the mini suite with breakfast included. The room looked a little dated, with some damage on the wall, and it was very warm, including the hallways. Even in February we had to open the windows to sleep. The bathroom was clean, but the sink wouldn’t drain properly and still had hair and muck from previous guests, so we had to brush our teeth in the shower. The room phone didn’t work. There was plenty of parking on site and it was easy, despite other reviews saying otherwise. Staff were friendly, attentive and happy to help. We ordered pizza from the restaurant and they brought it to our room. Food was a big plus: our meal for a sapphire wedding anniversary was brilliant, and so was the evening pizza. Breakfast was nice, cooked to order, with a fair choice of bread, jams and granola. The big bed was comfortable, even though it was two beds pushed together. The bathroom was spacious, with a bath, bidet and rainfall shower head.

For our wedding anniversary, we held a private celebration at The Linton Hotel. The dining room looked lovely, and the table service was attentive without hovering. Lunch was three courses and every bit as good as Italian food we've had anywhere in the country. The staff were so helpful before the event and on the day. I'd happily recommend the hotel for a celebration.

The staff always make you feel like part of the family, and they really go out of their way for guests. We went to the Italian evening last night for the seven-course tasting menu. Chef Morelli's food was outstanding, and the service, as always, was impeccable. Such a great evening.

The room was the weak point for me. It was very small, the bed wasn't comfortable, and some of the facilities weren't great. But breakfast was really good, and the food, bar choices, and service were fantastic. I'd recommend it if you find a good price.

We booked late at night and had our dog with us. The night staff were helpful and respectful, and the room, though tiny, was fine for getting some sleep. I prefer a softer bed, but this one was sturdy. The facilities were good, breakfast was fab, and the woman on duty was brilliant, kind, helpful, and interested in the dog. A great last-minute stop.
