I’ll use this hotel whenever I’m travelling between Luton Airport and Romania on business. Parking at night was easy, and the night was peaceful, with a good sleep. Staff at reception and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a good, simple selection, and I recommend the curry. Isa the barman gave us five-star treatment, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend OYO.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful. I really appreciated being given an extra hour before checkout. Free parking is available, though the machine wasn’t working during my stay, and the hotel is close to local amenities, which was handy. It was a comfortable, hassle-free stay. A few things could be better: the corridor carpet was dirty and stained, there was no bath mat, and soap dispensers would be better than bar soaps.

The room had a good hot and cold air conditioning unit, decent towels, a padded chair, and a long table. But the double bed was small enough that two people could barely turn over without falling out. The TV only had basic terrestrial channels, the shower gel was tiny so I had to buy some, and there were no bedside lamps or plugs for charging by the bed. The lights only worked from the door. There were only three coat hangers for two people, and no bottled water for tea or coffee, though sachets, a kettle, and two cups were provided. The room was called deluxe, but when I asked how it differed from a standard room, I was told it was room size, not bed size, and that they don’t have queen-size beds. I hope they sort that out. The entrance and large reception area were impressive, and check-in was fine with polite staff on duty. Parking was free, but one lift was out of order and the hallway carpets were dated.

Mareen went above and beyond, organising a wonderful evening and taking care of every request. The staff were extremely polite and well mannered, and the spacious lobby made a good impression. The tables were nicely set, the food display was inviting, and compliments to the chefs, everything was very tasty. I invited the family to the Chiltern event iftar buffet, and the roomy car park made arrival easy without any stress. This was our second time attending with the whole family. My wife and I also come to the buffet regularly when we get the chance. We look forward to next year.

The traffic noise was a little annoying, though that’s not the hotel’s fault. The staff were friendly, especially Hayley, who was lovely. I stayed four nights in February and found the hotel nice and clean, with a decent room. Housekeeping had arranged a decorative towel on the bed and the toilet roll, a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. All in all, a good hotel, and I’ll stay again.
