Good value, especially if you’re flying the next day. Parking costs £3 for 24 hours. The room was a bit tired but clean and comfortable, and the bed was really good, we slept well. There’s a busy road outside, though you barely notice it from the room. The hotel is a couple of minutes from the M1 and a 10-minute drive from the airport.

We understood there was no air con, but one fan for our room with three kids wasn’t ideal. There’s no changing room in the hotel either, which is crazy. When we explained that our daughter was disabled and tried to explain her medical needs, the woman at the desk gave us a load of rubbish and said her job was to tell people no. We were told we couldn’t have another fan, even though she was replacing fans for other people. Absolutely ridiculous. I spoke to the manager in the morning and got no response to my complaints, just more rubbish. She seemed more focused on getting a couple to stay another night than dealing with a health and safety concern. I’d massively avoid this hotel if you have children.

My room was comfortable and the service was good, but there were several problems. None of the wall sockets worked and the kettle was broken. The walls seem thin. People next door were shouting and throwing things around. Security was called, but it didn’t seem to sort things out. Luckily, I’d brought noise-cancelling headphones and managed to get some sleep. The hotel is close to the main road, and the traffic noise was significant at night. During our stay, cars in Luton seemed to have modified exhausts, which made it even noisier.

The room was comfortable, and we had a restful stay. Breakfast was good value, with tasty food and enough choice. The hotel was clean and well kept, and reception staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed them. I brought my dog, and it was lovely that there was no nightly pet fee. The staff were welcoming to her, too. Nearby parks made walks easy, and getting around the area was convenient. I stayed at Travelodge Luton for seven nights and had a very pleasant time. I’d happily come back. 🐕🏨

The rooms seem to have been refurbished and look good, but they get unbelievably hot. My first fan was broken, though staff quickly brought a replacement and even let me have another one. The shower room fans have been switched off because people apparently complained about the noise, so the hot air from the shower just goes back into the room. I’d paid for late checkout but left at 10 because of the temperature.
