We spent two nights here and had a lovely stay. Our room had a bonus view of the sea and cliffs, and the guest house is close to town. We especially liked the little extras, including bags of crisps and a small pack of biscuits in the room, plus shower gel, shampoo and soap in the bathroom.

We picked Clovelly Guest House as a base for fossil hunting, and it worked perfectly. It's close to the beach and town, with plenty of shops, restaurants and points of interest nearby. Ali was so welcoming and friendly, and even washed and dried our wet, muddy adventuring clothes for us 😂 The kitchen area was great, stocked with a range of little breakfast foods. Waking up to seagulls calling in the morning was lovely and relaxing. We loved our stay and only wished we'd booked longer. Such a good stay for the price, thanks!

We loved staying in Wonkey for two nights. You could see the sea sitting up in bed, and the room was a lovely size, with a really comfy bed, super soft sheets, a Smart TV and kettle with snacks. The shower was the best, and the complimentary toiletries were good. There was even a decent hairdryer for my thick, long hair. It was so warm, but we found a fan in the wardrobe. The location made it easy to get to everything, including shops, bars, restaurants, takeaways, the beach, docks and river. We could help ourselves to OJ, teas, Nescafé, cereals, breads, anchor butter, various jams and loads of Greek yoghurts whenever we liked. While we were packing the car, we met Ali, who invited us in to meet beautiful Boris 😍 For food and drink, we recommend Rockpoint for drinks, the bagel shop for lunch, the nearby bakeries, Lyme terrace for coffee, and Poco Pizza for authentic Italian and LaQuilla Indian for dinner.

Our room was small, but clean, and there was a fabulous self-service breakfast selection with fresh fruit, cereal and yogurts. The location is lovely, but the walk up is very steep and hilly, so it may not suit people with mobility issues.

A lovely spot with a nice room, healthy breakfast and beautiful view. Good location too, with parking available.
