Our family spent three nights here in August 2025 for my 60th birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. They even gave me a bottle of champagne and a birthday card. The room had lovely extra touches: homemade lemon drizzle cake, a decanter of mead, a selection of great teas and coffees, and good-quality biscuits. First-class facilities and service. I'd highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

We had a delicious breakfast in a light, airy dining room, and it's a great location, just a short walk to the beach by several routes. Our room and bed were very comfortable. The team had thought of all the details, including lemon drizzle cake and mead to sample in the room. A lovely one-night stay in this ‘petite’ hotel.

The location is great, the breakfast was lovely, the bed was comfortable, and the room had nice facilities. But if you're a menopausal woman, bear in mind that the airflow is poor, especially in room one. I couldn't open a window for fresh air, the heating was on full blast, and there was no fan. Air circulation in the ensuite was poor too. I know it's a beautiful old building, but a fan or some air conditioning would've been a welcome addition. We stayed in March, and I can't imagine how you'd manage in the summer.

The room had everything we needed, and breakfast was delicious. Even over just one night, the Lyme Townhouse team made a real impression. Jo and Diane were delightful and welcoming, and put in every effort to make the stay feel special. They even helped us celebrate a birthday.
