The location is so convenient, with excellent parking, and the restaurant and garden have a lovely view. Breakfasts are excellent, with plenty to eat, and the staff are generally friendly and attentive. At checkout, though, the receptionist stayed on the phone and didn't pause to say goodbye. Some rooms feel a bit tired, while the communal areas are nicely furnished. The stairs and landing could give a better impression, but I'm sure that will improve over time.

We stayed one night with our dog and were given a room overlooking the sea. It was nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed, and the people running the hotel were lovely. Breakfast the next morning was amazing and beautifully cooked. The main part of the hotel could probably use a little paint, but I liked its atmosphere. We'd definitely stay again.

We came for a family wedding, arriving Friday and leaving Sunday, and had a lovely long weekend. The private family celebration on Friday was superb, with a fantastic BBQ and a wide choice of salads. Breakfast was delicious, with either a full English or continental options. Leo and Lou were fabulous hosts and very accommodating, and Gemma took great care of us whenever they weren't around. The room was clean, tidy and airy, which was especially welcome in the high temperatures. It hadn't been refurbished, but the balcony and bay views were fabulous. The bathroom had been redone and had a great shower. The low beams suited the age of the property. The family run hotel was hard to fault, and we'd love to return and explore more of the area. One thing to bear in mind: walking here can be difficult if you struggle with hills, since they're all around and every downhill trip means going back up.

We hadn't expected such a good chef in the kitchen. Dinner tasted fantastic and was arranged beautifully, a treat for the eyes as well as the nose and tongue. The hotel was lovely and the service wonderful.
