The Bell Inn

The Sunday roast at The Bell was amazing, especially the gravy, which was out of this world. The meat and veg were great too. I think the crumble was apple, rhubarb and quince, and it was inventive and delicious. Breakfast was gorgeous, with tasty local ingredients. Our room was fantastic, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a fabulous stay in a beautiful part of the world and I’m sure we’ll be back to The Bell. One thing to plan for if you’re staying Sunday night: there’s no food at The Bell or the pub across the road after 7:30pm. We’d had a big Sunday lunch and couldn’t eat early, so be ready to bring provisions or make do with crisps at the bar.

The day went so smoothly, and the staff were very accommodating. We had our wedding at The Bell Inn, and Molly, Denisa and Jess were lovely. Communication during the planning was a little slow at times, but everything went to plan. Guests gave good feedback on the food, which is no small thing for a larger group. The dessert and evening sausage rolls were especially popular. Our room was clean and well laid out, and the bed was very comfortable. We had an absolutely wonderful day and wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks, everyone, for everything. It was just what we’d hoped for ☺️

Peppa pig world was only 10 minutes away, and we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were big and very clean, the staff friendly, and we ate at the restaurant too, which was nice.

The meeting was hosted with generosity and professionalism after an initial hiccup. The food was delicious, with good flavour and just-right portions. The squid and linguine were particularly good. It’s also handy if you’re a golferiser, since it’s next to a club. Thanks, folks.
