The handmade pizza was superb when we stopped in for a bite. It’s a great little pub with fab food, and the young Yorkshire (Leeds) lad behind the bar had great banter. It’s worth a visit. I’m sad to hear it may be 'gentrified', since every village needs a 'village inn'.

A quaint spot with a log fire, and well worth a visit if you’re in the area. They serve bar meals all day, and the staff give a very warm, friendly welcome.

We ate here a couple of times during our week in Lynmouth and found the food great quality for the price, with huge portions. The bar has a good range of drinks, and staff offered some recommendations. Everyone was very friendly, and it’s very dog friendly. We’d visit again next time we’re in the area.

It’s easy to walk right past this place in Lynmouth, but it’s well worth stopping in if you’re visiting. I had one of the best meals I’ve had, a fantastic Steak and Ale Pie with tender meat and rich gravy.

Come for the great food at reasonable prices, plus a fair choice of ales and other drinks. It’s a proper pub with a fine atmosphere. They finally got rid of that dragon with the girl's tattoos. She was obnoxious, but what an experience, she added enjoyment to every visit.
