We had a great one night stay at the Rockford Inn in a double room. The pub had such a warm, friendly feel, so it made for a lovely evening. The food was absolutely fantastic, and Jess and Pete were incredibly welcoming. There are some great walks nearby in a lovely surrounding area. We wouldn't hesitate to come back soon.

A proper pub! We popped into the Rockford for opening night under the new owners, Pete & Jess, and the atmosphere was terrific, with lovely ales and fires. They were terrific hosts too. Can't wait to try the food next week, and we'll definitely make this a regular.

We'd walked from Lynmouth along the valley, following the parallel path beside the river via Watersmeet. It rained all the way, so finding the ROCKFORD INN and the welcoming couple Pete & Jess was a real relief. The pub sells real ale among other things, and it's well worth a visit. We took a Taxi back to Lynmouth. I'll definitely return.
