The breakfast spread was fabulous, with hot dishes ordered at the bar and everything I tried delicious. I booked this place at the last minute for one night, and the location was great, just across from the promenade and an eight-minute walk into the centre. The friendly staff were really helpful. My room had all the basics and then some, including tea, coffee, biscuits, shampoo and conditioner, a hairdryer, and an iron and board. It was on the side of the hotel without a view, but that was fine for one night.

The room was cracking, super clean, and in a spot on location. Staff gave us such a warm welcome and were always helpful. I enjoyed a quiet drink in the bar too. After a belting night at the pavilion seeing Peter hooky and his band 🕺🕺🕺, it was great to get back to the room. Had a brilliant stay and would come back when I'm in the area.

We had Sunday lunch with the family. Service was good and they were very dog friendly, but the roast beef was cold, stringy and so chewy my knife couldn't cut it. There was no mash, and I ended up giving the gristly meat to my dog. The Yorkshire pudding was excellent, though the meal wasn't worth what we paid. I won't order the Sunday lunch again or recommend it. My daughter and her husband had fish and chips, and my granddaughter had a chicken burger. Those all came hot and they enjoyed them, so I'd recommend those instead.

The staff were lovely and welcoming, and even checked on us during meals. It was my first time bringing my dog along, and I was so pleased by how dog friendly the place was. Our room was huge and spotless, which made the stay great for both of us. Thanks for making the trip so enjoyable!

We brought our two dogs and felt welcome, and the staff were efficient, friendly and kind. The food was freshly cooked and excellent. Our room was clean, lovely and roomy, and I really liked the decor in the public areas. It’s a nice change from the usual minimalist modern look. We had a lovely one-night stay.
