The lodge is handy for everything, including pubs, cafes and a fantastic chippy, and the beach is only a few minutes away on foot. We had a lovely week and would gladly return. Sarina welcomed us, showed us to our room and answered our questions. The bedroom was clean and had a microwave, plates, cutlery, and tea and coffee facilities. Tara made most of the breakfast, a lovely full English with plenty of toast and tea. Marie served our table and was a delight, always smiling, friendly and ready for a laugh. Thanks for everything.

There was loads of space for me and my four kids in the family room. We all enjoyed the English breakfast, and the staff were friendly and nice. The beach and shops are about a five-minute walk away. I'd recommend it.

Sarina, the host and manager, was amazing and couldn't have done more for us. The rooms were spotless and the beds really comfortable. She also kept my parking space for the week for my van, which I appreciated. It's a very nice place to stay, and I'll come back if I'm in the area.

The owner showed us to our room, explained everything and was happy to help. My husband and I had a fantastic stay, and the breakfast was delicious every day, with enough to set us up for whatever we planned in maplethorpe. Shops are an easy walk away, as are coffee shops, and the beach isn't far either. It's a lovely b&b and we'd definitely return. There are a couple of stairs to climb, but nothing major to worry about.
