We've been coming to this lovely pub for a few years. The staff are lovely, the food is excellent, and it's a great place to visit when you're staying nearby. One warning if you're walking down from the Gweniago camp site area: there's a farm dog roaming free along the way. It's very aggressive and really shouldn't be loose. Take a big stick or cattle prod with you.......

We had dinner here too, which was delicious, with great service. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed one night and the room was large, beautifully arranged and had everything we needed. The bathroom was huge, with a separate bath and a massive shower, and everything was sparkling clean.

The food was lovely, and the restaurant was clean with a homely feel. Our waitress was also lovely and gave us our first drink on the house. Still, after booking earlier in the day because the special was lamb, we arrived at 7:30 pm to find there were no specials left. The menu was small, with no fish and chips or leak And chicken pie available, so we had to get burgers. There seemed to be enough staff, but our starter took 40 minutes and the burger another 25. We were also left without a drink for quite a while.

We had lovely freshly prepared food on a Saturday evening in May. I'd book ahead even at that time of year. If you're just going for a drink, check the opening times on the website.

A great community pub run locally, with good beers and really friendly staff and locals. Looking forward to coming back!
