We had drinks, ice creams and a jazz band out in the lovely garden after the wedding in the huge orangery. Plas Dolguog is such a stunning setting, with an incredible view. The whole house is beautiful, spacious and decorated so nicely, and Stephanie and her team were lovely. I'd happily recommend it for a stay or a celebration.

Steph, the owner, was wonderful when we held my mum's wake here on Thursday. The room was just right, and the food was exactly as requested, right down to cutting the crusts off all the sandwiches! Everyone was so helpful. It's in a beautiful setting, and they made the whole occasion feel perfect. I can't rate it highly enough.

We loved staying here, and Steph was amazing. Our room had a little balcony with stunning views, and we really liked having evening deli plates available for dinner. The place has gorgeous character, with modern touches in just the right spots, and it's so well looked after that you feel welcome in all the little details. Cosy and comfortable too. It made a great base for Devils Bridge, Elan Valley, Gwen restaurant and the local art gallery. The photos don't quite capture it. We hope to come back!

We came back for a visit, 25 years after getting married here. The new owners gave us such a warm welcome, and the improvements they've made are first class. They add to the beauty of the place. It's truly lovely to stay here.
