The Oakeley Arms Hotel

The carvery was a first for me, despite having tried plenty elsewhere, and this one was nicely seasoned. We booked ahead for Sunday lunch, and our table was ready when we arrived. The staff and food were both lovely. It took us five years to get here after moving to the area, but we won’t leave it that long before coming back.

We only stayed one night, but the friendly staff and peaceful atmosphere made it a lovely place for a relaxed getaway. Dinner was good too, especially the steak and ale pie I ordered. We decided to have breakfast here the next morning and enjoyed a full English. I’d definitely recommend it.

We stopped for dinner on a Friday evening while heading to Porthmadog. We both chose the steak and ale pie of the day and really enjoyed our meal. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the place had a nice feel, with a coal fire burning. There were plenty of tables available, even with a few reserved. We’ll definitely visit again.

The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay at Oakley Hotel, and we really enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. We had steak pie for dinner, which was delicious. Our room had lovely old-fashioned character and was surprisingly comfortable. Highly recommended!
