I could have spent hours sitting by the water. The outdoor space is beautiful, and inside River Arts club felt calm and relaxing. I really enjoyed my stay here: the meals were delicious, healthy and comforting, and I slept comfortably and woke feeling rested. A lovely retreat in a magical setting. I’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone.

At £300 a night, I expected better comfort and hospitality, and this place didn’t justify the cost. There’s hardly any service, and the self-service feel, with wallpaper magazines lying around, comes across more like an easyJet-style hotel than a boutique stay. The marketing gives the wrong impression. To me, it’s basically a three-star property with a nice view.

We needed somewhere to stay for the night while attending an event nearby at Skindles, and this turned out to be a lovely choice. The river gives the place a magical feel, and the arrival was charming and peaceful. The decor is full of character, with original features and quirky touches alongside modern luxury. It even smells lovely.

We spent New Year’s Eve 2025/26 at River Arts Club and had a wonderful stay. The rooms were stylish and very comfortable, and the staff were delightful and helpful. Its setting right by the river is stunning, and it feels like a hidden gem. Good value too, whether you’re planning a romantic break or meeting up with friends.

Our room was beautiful, and the lounge was exquisite. The garden at the front looks out over the river, making for a magical stay at the river arts club last weekend. Thank you to our lovely host Angelica.
