Having the grounds to ourselves from 5pm until 10 the next morning made this treat for my wife and me live up to what we’d hoped for. A dusk or dawn walk is highly recommended. We stayed overnight in Maidens Tower at Leeds Castle. The room was spacious, with a main bedroom in keeping with the building’s age and a modern luxury bathroom. From our window, we had a magnificent view of the main castle and the lake. After a busy day exploring, we found ourselves just sitting and looking out. Breakfast was decent and set us up for another day of walking and exploring.

We came for our anniversary and had a great time. Our room was in the Maiden's Tower, within the castle wall but separate from the main building. A driver took us from reception, and was super friendly. Being driven into the castle was quite an experience. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped, with incredible views. One window looked toward the main castle building, while the other side faced the water and the restaurant. The shower could be better, though. There’s no screen, so water gets everywhere.

A picture-perfect evening like the one we had makes for a fantastic occasion and feels worth the money on its own. Staying at Leeds also means you can walk around most of the grounds by yourself in the evening after they’re closed to the crowds. Our time in Maidens Tower was brilliant. The room was excellent, and the staff at reception and around the grounds were friendly and welcoming.

The rooms are offered as part of the wedding package, and their historic character fits the setting. It’s a perfect wedding venue with several options to consider. If you’re lucky enough to stay here, it’s an experience worth having.

The castle and surrounding views from the 'Margaret of France' room were stunning, and the location is the best thing about this place. The room was spacious and clean, but the decor felt dated and some of the photo choices were unusual. The beds were hard. The towels were heated, and the shower was nice once we worked out the temperature. There was a large range of bathroom supplies. Still, I don’t think the price is worth it. Breakfast was a letdown. There weren’t many choices on the menu or in the continental area. The scrambled eggs were the worst we’ve had, undercooked and creamy, which isn’t our cup of tea.
